I'm a multilingual, multimedia journalist and producer for Georgia Public Broadcasting's daily radio program, "On Second Thought."

Prior to joining GPB, I was a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Brazil. My previous reporting has appeared on TIME.com, The Trace, and the front page of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. I also worked on the Rio 2016 Olympics at NBC Sports and contributed to numerous investigations, including a Pulitzer finalist, at the AJC and WSB-TV in Atlanta. For that investigation I reported on a doctor who was allowed to continue practicing even after he admitted to sexually abusing multiple patients. Before that, I covered elected judges' failures to comply with campaign finance law, and a top university administrator's quiet resignation following a harassment complaint.

As an undergraduate at the University of Georgia I studied history, Portuguese, and French. I graduated summa cum laude and wrote my history thesis on Atlanta Daily World publisher C.A. Scott and his editorial approach to the civil rights movement.
